Charles Kyobe, Senior Web Developer
Charles Kyobe is CREAM’s Senior Web Developer whose main responsibilities include designing and coding CREAM websites’ layouts to meet its stakeholders’ desired functionality and database integration needs. In this capacity he is also responsible for creating, updating and distributing print and electronic visual packages for CREAM's internal and external communication purposes.
Charles worked for a couple of corporations and a freelance contractor as a graphic and web designer before becoming an educator at both high school and college levels in the field of visual communication. Over the years, his extensive experience in the visual communication field has compelled him to explore how educators utilize visual aids in the teaching and learning environment. As the Assistant Chair of the Graphic Design and Marketing Department at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Charles was the subject matter expert (SME) for an online course, Illustration and Rapid Visualization, for the Marketing program in the AIP’s online division, in addition to teaching online courses. This experience further led him conduct doctoral research on the impact of communication technologies in education.
Charles holds an Associates degree in Commercial Art and Design from Nkumba University, Uganda, a Graduate Certificate in Distance Education from University of South Florida, a B.A. in Graphic Design from Seton Hill University, Greensburg, PA and M.B.A. in Technology Management from University of Phoenix, Pittsburgh Campus. Charles is currently a Ph.D. candidate focusing on Higher Education Administration with cognate studies in Instructional Technology at the University of South Florida.
